I received an advance-release of this product at WWDC08 in June 2008, and I've been playing with it ever since. It is top notch in every regard. The hardware is small and only uses the USB port [no need to find an A/C plug!]. The software is even better, as it grabs data right from the scanned receipt; no need for retyping in most cases!See Here: neat receipts

panasonic did a great job on this one, concerning on their costumer satisfaction as always.

They do have a mini U1 model, 5.6" Screen and solid state hard drive, but this is more of a technicians' scan tool type of device. Made to withstand 4' drops ( The Standard UPS-Toss Standard of care ) Not enough room on solid state hard drive for full programs.

I also would have liked to see a 10" screen, 200gb solid state hard drive, the renowned weather resistant water-draining keyboard for those of us using a laptop in severe weather conditions.
