NetbookTech: AMD focused on the ultra-portable market .. for now

    Yukon platform is <25W (CPU+Chipset), not just the CPU. Don't forget that the CPU and chipset are both in new low cost, low z-scale, BGA packages. and it can play real games and play HD video, unlike Atom platforms.

    Yes that's a good point - I'll make sure to clarify that - however, the thermal envelope is still higher than the Atom + chipset envelope which is roughly 11 watts. The main point here is - Yukon is unlikely (though not impossible) to be seen in netbook systems.. at least not the "traditional" netbook systems we have come to know of which would be 10 inch systems. Maybe 13 inch ultraportable notebooks that get renamed as mininotebooks/netbooks.

    This does go to show that the line between ultraportables and netbooks is a fine one at that. One person's netbook is another's ultra-portable?
